Spring is Here! Almost…

Spring is Here! Almost…

I can’t be the only one who gets excited for the snow to melt and the wildflowers to bloom throughout the U.S. Between the longer days and warmer weather, what’s not to love about Spring? Let’s not dive too deep into higher chances of rain or pollen. Spring like every season has its highs and lows, but instead, let’s delve into how we can make your Spring more impactful.

Here are 5 ways to bring more happiness and impact into your Spring:

1. Prepare your hair and skin for the change in weather.

The longer days and warmer weather brings a new guest to the table—humidity. But humidity doesn’t have to be the enemy. In fact, humidity brings a lot of benefits such as skin hydration, elasticity, and hair moisture levels. However, the cons are glaringly obvious; hair frizz and flatness, oily skin (or making it more noticeable), and pollen transportation (bringing pollen to a theater near you, if the theater is your face).

To combat this, switch to lighter moisturizers for your hair and skin. Such as our Morning Dew Eye Cream which is incredibly lightweight and we’ll share a secret with you too… It can be used for your whole face! But only if you want it to. Pair this with one our lightweight, gentle cleansing face washes (Aloe Vera Face Wash or our Winter Honey Face Wash) and you’re good to go!

For a lightweight gel with good hold to combat the frizz, we recommend our Hydrating Curl Gel or our Rosemary Curl Gel for this season. Our Rosemary Curl Gel has added protein in it to help combat over-elastic/flat curls during this humid season.

2. Get in the Sun

Longer days. Can you imagine? The sun is out longer and your skin, if it’s anything like mine, misses the sun. However, everyone’s skin is different so be sure to go only go out for as long as your beautiful skin needs. You can add our Tallow Sun Balm to your skincare routine to add a lightweight layer. Formulated with natural non-nano Zinc Oxide and 100% grass fed beef tallow, your skin will thank you. Yet if you find yourself out in the sun too long and your skin feels rather angry at you, consider our Aloe Recovery Gel to help soothe it! In time, your skin will forgive you.

3. Hydrate

As it gets warmer, ensure that your body remains hydrated. Water and natural fruit juices (preferably homemade for maximum benefits if possible) can help transform your hair and skin from the inside out. Look out for our free Juicing Book download coming out later this month with an extended version available for purchase soon.

4. Eat the Rainbow

So many fruits and vegetables are coming into season and that means more affordable produce that can be provided by farms near you! Think of all the nutrients and freshness that will be right at your fingertips! Add them to your diet and you’ll find that your hair and skin reflect what you put in your body.

5. Giving Back

Let’s talk charity. Giving Back is really important to us here at Living Water Organics. Because of every customer, we’ve been able to give back together! But how can you continue to do that? Well first thing is giving back in your personal life! Find a good charity and research it well before donating. We recommend praying over it too! Some charities we’d recommend include: IrisGlobal and Compassion which give back to children, families, and communities in need! They offer access to clean water, food, education, and the Gospel!

However, there are many charities to choose from, so go where the Lord Jesus leads you and be sure to pray, pray, and pray! The Bible says that giving is better than receiving, and it can feel so beautiful to give to a child in need so we encourage you to do just that! And have no fear, when you shop with us, you’re not only buying our products, but you’re also helping us in our giving back efforts! We choose to donate 10% of our profits to children, families, missions, and ministries in need (more details on our Giving Back Together Program available on our website). Every purchase with us helps us to continue that. Thank you for being a part of that so that we can give back together.

I hope you’re excited to make an impact this Spring!

Because life is more than skin deep.
